Petition for Intra-District Campus Transfer Requests

Each year, elementary and middle school students in Frisco ISD have the opportunity to transfer to a campus other than their home campus through an application process. Students can transfer at the semester or in anticipation of the coming school year.

When reviewing petitions for student transfers, Frisco ISD will consider each request on an individual basis; however, the Administrative Guidelines are in place to ensure consistency in the process. You can view the Administrative Guidelines here.

student-transfer-tileTo submit a transfer request the student must be registered with Frisco ISD and the parent/guardian must have created their Gateway ID. There is a designated tile in The Gateway labeled “Student Transfers.” If you cannot find the tile, please search for “Student Transfers."

If you have not set-up your Gateway account or cannot remember your Gateway ID, please follow the Gateway Guide for instructions. Otherwise, more information can be found on the the Gateway FAQs linked here.

Approved Transfer:

All authorizations for K-8 student transfers are for a one-year period and the parent/guardian must provide transportation; transfers must be submitted annually. Approval for one year does not guarantee nor imply the approval of future transfers to the same campus or to the feeder campus.

If you receive an approved transfer for your high school student under extenuating circumstances, please note their transfer is approved until the student graduates from the approved campus.

Denied Transfer:

Transfer requests denied are provided a link to the Student Transfer Objection & Petition Form via the email notification. Please note this form is time-sensitive and must be returned by the designated deadline. Requests submitted for a second semester transfer are not appealable. Request submitted by current FISD students outside the designated transfer windows will be denied.

Email Susan Dye if you have any questions.
