Technology Assistance

Frisco ISD will provide devices upon request to students participating in certain online Summer School programs. This includes Secondary Summer School, ESL summer programs (K-1 and 6-12) and HB 4545 tutorials. Students who have access to personal devices at home are encouraged to use them rather than requesting a device from the District.  

For current 9th & 10th graders or all grade levels at LSHS, LTHS, RHS, WHS

To receive a device to use during Summer School, current 9th & 10th graders or students attending LSHS, LTHS, RHS and WHS (all grade levels), should opt in to Frisco ISD’s “1 for All” Technology program. The starting point for the process to get a Chromebook is in the student Canvas course. Students can use this link to self-enroll in the course and work through the content. At the end of the course, parents will find information about the other two requirements of completing the Guardian Acknowledgement form and paying the one-time fee of $20. Fees will be loaded into OnlineSchoolFees. 

For all other students

All other students who need a device to participate in Summer School should utilize the Summer Device Request Form. Below are the locations, dates and times parents are able to pick up a device for their child. Please come prepared with your child’s student ID, home campus and which Summer School program they are participating in. Students must be on the Summer School list to receive a device. The device will be checked out to your child and is expected to be returned to the student’s home campus on the first day of school.

Repair Information

If a student has a device that is in need of repair, the student will need to log in to the Student Portal and click on the tile named Device Repair. The student will fill out and submit the form. Once the form is submitted, the student will be contacted by our summer tech staff to troubleshoot the device.
