2023-24 New Student Enrollment

Frisco ISD serves students who live within the District's attendance zone in Frisco, Plano, McKinney and Little Elm. Your child must live in Frisco ISD to attend FISD schools. 

Attendance Zones

Access the attendance zone search tool that shows which school/s your address is zoned for in the upcoming school year. If your address falls near the District boundary, you may wish to contact us to verify attendance. 

Please note several elementary and middle school campuses are at enrollment capacity. New students who are zoned to closed campuses will enroll at a nearby partner campus within the district. Please see the 2023-24 School Year Zones web page for a complete listing of the closed campuses.

Not sure which school your student/s are zoned to attend? Search your address or check zones by accessing the zone downloads that include feeder patterns and attendance zones by subdivision.

Enrollment Process

Registration is currently open for new K-12 students. Incoming Pre-K students will be able to register starting on April 1, 2023. To register your child for the 2023-24 school year, please read and complete the steps outlined below:

Online Registration Form

To begin the online enrollment process, first create an account with Powerschool registration by following the registration form link and selecting “Create Account” on the left. Enter your email address, name and phone number and create a password for your account. Remember the email address and password associated with your account. Frisco ISD utilizes PowerSchool Registration each year to update information on students returning to our schools. Parents will utilize the same email address and password in future years to sign-in if they previously set up an account. You will then be prompted to enter basic information regarding your child.

Gather Required Documents

Frisco ISD requires a parent or guardian provide the following documents to complete the registration process:

Please be sure to review the documents accepted for proof of residency and double-check that your child's immunization records are up to date and reflect all the requirements of the state of Texas, which may vary from other states/countries.  

If a language other than English is spoken most of the time in your home and by your child, you will be contacted by your child’s campus to schedule an assessment date to determine your student's eligibility for the appropriate language program: bilingual education or English as a Second Language (ESL).

Finalize the Enrollment Process

Once you have completed the online registration form and uploaded the required documents, you will receive a confirmation email. Please note, however, that enrollment is not complete until the documentation is reviewed and processed by District staff. Frisco ISD will process new student registration in the order in which online submissions were received. Parents will receive a welcome letter to the District via email once their online registration form has been processed and enrollment is complete.

Middle and High School Students
Secondary counselors or a counseling representative will reach out to middle and high school parents to facilitate the course selection process based on transcripts or report cards from the student’s previous school. New middle school students are asked to review and complete the course planning document for the appropriate grade level to aid in this process. High school students and parents are encouraged to review the High School Academic Guide and Course Catalog to see all the course offerings available prior to meeting with the counselor.

Where can I turn for help with the Online Registration form?

If you have general questions regarding the enrollment process, please contact your child's future school. If you have form submission questions, email isregistration@friscoisd.org.

I've already finished the online form, but I need to make a change to my information.

You may continue to update the online form until the campus approves the form. If you need to make changes after the form has been approved, please contact your campus. The campus will reset the form so you can make changes.
