Summer School Program for Limited English Proficient (LEP) Students

Frisco Independent School District will offer a summer school program for qualifying secondary English language learners who currently attend Frisco ISD, as well as elementary students who qualify as incoming kindergarten and first grade English language learners.

Qualifying students will have the opportunity to participate in enrichment activities designed around a  curriculum that will integrate a problem-solving model and reading strategies.

202​1 Summer Program for Incoming Kindergarten (Currently enrolled LEP preschool students registered as of May 1st, 2021) and First Grade LEP Students

  • Frisco ISD will provide a summer school program for limited English proficient (LEP) students participating in the ESL or Bilingual program who are eligible for admission to kindergarten and first grade at the beginning of the next school year. The goal of both programs is to enable English learners to become competent in the reading, listening, speaking, and writing of the English language through the development of literacy and academic skills in grade level content areas.

    May 27-July 1, 7:45 a.m. to 3:15 p.m.
    No school May 31st for Memorial Day

  • ESL/LEP program is offered at no cost to the family. Parents/guardians for students who qualify for the summer program will receive an invitation via email in mid-April. Contact your school’s Language Coach for enrollment information and assistance.

2021 Summer Programs for Elementary Newcomer English as a Second Language (ESL) Students

  • Frisco ISD will provide a summer school program for students who are within their first year in the United States and participating in the ESL program in grades 2-5. The goal of the program is to enable English learners to become competent in the reading, listening, speaking, and writing of the English language through the development of literacy and academic skills in grade level content areas.
  • Summer Program Dates
    May 27-July 1, 7:45 a.m. to 3:15 p.m.
    No school May 31st for Memorial Day

  • ESL/LEP program is offered at no cost to the family. Parents/guardians for students who qualify for the summer program will receive an invitation via email in mid-April. Contact your school’s Language Coach for enrollment information and assistance.

The goal of the program is to enable English learners to become competent in the reading, listening, speaking, and writing of the English language through the development of literacy and academic skills in grade level content areas.

    June 1-24, ​10:​3​0 a.m. to ​12:30 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
