Like all students, children with disabilities go through transitions as they enter preschool, kindergarten, middle school, high school, and graduation into adulthood. For young people in special education programs those transitions often involve a great deal of thought, planning, evaluating, researching, meeting, discussing, and making adjustments. As a parent, partnering with the school district will ensure that your student has the services and supports required to make those transitions meaningful and successful.
The special education in-home and parent training team is proud to provide a wealth of resources to guide parents through every aspect of special education.
As in-home and parent trainers, we support families and classroom teachers by sharing strategies, materials, resources, monthly trainings, community events, and diversity awareness experiences.
