Step 1: Determine Your Residency

Not sure whether you are within FISD boundaries? Search your address or view zones by map, street name or subdivision

  • In-District Families: If you live within Frisco ISD boundaries, you are eligible to enroll your child in the full day Pre-K program, either through the state-funded program (free for qualifying families) or the tuition-based option (for families not eligible for free Pre-K).

  • Non-FISD Families: Live outside Frisco ISD boundaries? Tuition-based Pre-K is now open to families outside of Frisco ISD. Space is limited and placement is based on available seats, so interested families are encouraged to apply early.

Step 2: Determine Your Child’s Program Options

For 3-Year-Olds: Frisco ISD offers Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) for children who are three years old on or before September 1 and identified with a disability.

  • Students may begin receiving special education services as early as their third birthday.

  • Services are based on an Individual Education Plan (IEP) developed after an evaluation.

  • Instruction is aligned with the Texas Education Agency (TEA) Pre-K Guidelines and tailored to each child’s unique needs.

For 4-Year-Olds: Children who are four years old on or before September 1 (including children who turn five after September 1) may qualify for one of the following programs:

  • State-Funded Pre-K: Free for qualifying students who reside within Frisco ISD boundaries and meet state eligibility criteria. Every eligibility student who qualifies for state-funded Pre-K will have a seat.

  • Tuition-Based Pre-K: Available for both in-District and out-of-District families who do not qualify for the state-funded program. Seats are limited and children must be potty trained.

  • Dual Language Pre-K (Christie & Carroll Elementary): Participation in the Dual Language program is limited to in-district students who reside within the designated attendance zones.
