Military Readiness

Frisco ISD supports military families with access to resources and academic support. We also support students interested in pursuing careers in the military.

National Naval Defense Cadet Corps (NNDCC)

The mission of the Navy National Defense Cadet Corps (NNDCC) is to instill in students the ideals of leadership, character, honor, and service as the foundation for success in life.

The Navy National Defense Cadet Corps program is currently in its inaugural year in Frisco ISD. Lebanon Trail High School is home to this program of choice for students. All high school students across the district are eligible to apply for admission. For more information or to apply for the program, visit the NNDCC page.

An informational webinar regarding the Navy National Defense Cadet Corps (NNDCC) program will be held on Wednesday, November 17. Learn more or register for the event.

ASVAB Opportunities

Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (Grades 10-12)

The ASVAB is the most widely used multiple-aptitude test battery in the world. The ASVAB was originally designed to predict future academic and occupational success in military occupations. Numerous validation studies indicate the ASVAB assesses academic ability and predicts success in a wide variety of occupations. All high school campuses offer the ASVAB throughout the year.

The scores help students to get a good sense of their verbal, math, and science and technical skills compared to other students in the same grade. ASVAB results are reported to students and counselors on the ASVAB Summary Results sheet. This report shows grade-specific, gender-specific, and combined standard scores and score bands for all eight tests and three Career Exploration Scores. It also provides students with percentile-based interpretations of those scores. The ASVAB Summary Results sheet provides students with appropriate explanations of the scores, as well as suggestions for their use.

The eight ASVAB areas are: General Science, Arithmetic Reasoning, Word Knowledge, Paragraph Comprehension, Mathematics Knowledge, Electronics Information, Auto Shop Information and Mechanical Comprehension. Explore the TEA ASVAB Resources
