Dance Team
Frisco ISD dance team tryouts are held each spring for high school students. All Access Frisco students who are interested in trying out for a dance team for the 2026-27 school year should follow the process listed below. Please read all information carefully to ensure eligibility and participation.
Once a student is offered a seat at a high school campus, it should be accepted immediately. Acceptance begins the official approval process, which may take up to three-five weeks, and must be fully completed, including issuance of a Frisco ISD student ID number, before a student is eligible for dance team tryouts. Students without a completed approval and a student ID will not be allowed to try out.
Access Frisco students offered a seat after their campus’s tryout date should contact the program director to inquire about trying out for the team.
Access Frisco students who are offered a seat at their campus before the beginning of summer practices for the new year must meet the following criteria to be eligible to tryout for a dance team.
Have participated in tryouts and made their former Dance Team, OR have participated in studio Dance Teams if no Dance Team was available at their previous campus.
Present an informational letter from their former director stating that they made the team, are in good standing, and meet the academic requirements for tryouts.
Access Frisco students offered a seat after their campus’s mandatory tryout meeting, or who missed the tryout meeting, must have a parent/guardian contact the dance team director to arrange an alternate way to receive the meeting information. Access Frisco parents and students must meet with the program director prior to the audition to be eligible.
Access Frisco students trying out for a dance team will be required to meet all tryout qualifications and requirements to be eligible to audition for a dance team.
