Staley Updates

At the recommendation of District leadership, the Frisco ISD Board of Trustees has voted to retire Staley Middle School at the end of the 2025-26 school year.

As a result, all students currently zoned for Staley will be rezoned to Griffin, Trent and Hunt middle schools beginning in August 2026. High school attendance zones are not impacted.

Frisco ISD has committed to supporting families and staff affected by this decision. The District will provide resources and guidance to ensure a smooth transition to families as the plan is implemented.

As Frisco ISD looks to the future, the District also plans to honor and celebrate the legacy of Staley Middle School at an event in spring 2026. More information will be provided as details are finalized.

What’s next

Staley Middle School will remain open and fully operational through the end of the 2025-26 school year. Staley families, as well as parents of fifth graders zoned to the campus, can expect to hear from the principal of their rezoned campus in the coming weeks. Staff will continue to receive regular updates from FISD human resources.

Throughout the decision-making process, the District’s top priorities have been and will continue to be the student and staff experience, transparency and honoring the legacy of Staley Middle School.
