Guardian Gateway FAQ

Guardians should expect an email from the District after they complete student registration with details on how to enroll in the Guardian Gateway. If you have not received an email, please reach out to ISRegistration@friscoisd.org.

The Guardian Gateway is a “one stop shop” for guardians to have secure access to specific student information and programs such as the Home Access Center (HAC), school calendars, Canvas, STAAR testing results and much more to come. 

Benefits include:

  • Guardians will no longer need to log in to Home Access Center (HAC) as “the student.” Guardians will have their own HAC account and see all of the information for all of their students under one account.

  • Passwords will be encrypted and only changed via Guardian Gateway self-service, adding an extra layer of security. The District will no longer “send out” log-in information to various applications. 

  • In the coming months, guardians will be able to “opt-in” to receive email notifications for attendance and grades from HAC.

Contacts who are listed as a “guardian” and have an email associated with a Frisco ISD student in the student information system will receive an automated email to join the portal.  

Please check your junk/spam folder to see if you received an email from noreply@friscoisd.org to activate your account and confirm with the campus that you are listed as a guardian for the student with your preferred email address.

Please go to the Guardian Gateway on the Frisco ISD Website and save it as a favorite. In January, there will be a tile at the bottom of the Parents page on the District website and on the campus homepage that will take you to the portal.

Go to the Guardian Gateway ID Retrieval Page to obtain your Guardian ID. Be sure to provide the email address associated with your Frisco ISD student.

Please check again tomorrow morning, as the process may take an evening to connect. In the meantime, be sure you are using your Guardian ID: G###### and the password updated upon logging into your Guardian Gateway account.

No, HAC is not available to Kindergarten through 3rd grade students at this time.

Please be sure you are entering the correct student ID number on the FISD Guardian Gateway Authentication page.

You likely have a different first name, last name or email account associated with your student or the phone number you are trying to enter is not listed in your contact information in our student information system.

Please go to the Guardian Gateway homepage and click the link “Click here if you have forgotten your password” and follow the prompts.

If you use the same guardian name and email address for the new student, you will not receive an invite because you already have an existing guardian account.

Instead, you would need to go to the FISD Guardian Gateway Authentication page and add your student.

If you use a different email for the new student, you will receive an invite to create a different guardian account and your students will not be linked together. You will have two separate accounts. 

To combine these accounts into one, please send an email to ISRegistration@friscoisd.org. Please be sure to include the following in your email:

  • Subject: Guardian Gateway for (student’s name)

  • Student ID, Guardian First Name, Guardian Last Name, Campus

  • Let us know how we can help

Upon completing enrollment with Frisco ISD, each listed guardian with an email address will automatically receive an email invitation to create a Guardian Gateway account.

Go to the FISD Guardian Gateway Authentication page and add your student.

If you do not receive an invitation within 24 hours, please send an email to ISRegistration@friscoisd.org. Please be sure to include the following in your email:

  • Subject: Guardian Gateway for (student’s name)

  • Student ID, Guardian First Name, Guardian Last Name, Campus

  • Let us know how we can help

Verification of Enrollment requests must be made by students through the Student Portal using their Portal ID and password. VOE requests and a VOE tile are not available through the Guardian Gateway. Please do not attempt to enter your Gateway ID as a means to request a VOE.
