Secondary Summer School

Secondary Summer School provides learning opportunities for FISD students entering grades 9-12 in the 2019-20 school year, as well as Out-of-District students, who need to take courses for credit recovery or wish to do so for advancement. Frisco ISD also provides students in grades 6-8 with options for credit recovery in math, English, science and social studies.

2019 FISD Secondary Summer School

  • Secondary Summer School provides online learning opportunities available to all students in grades 6-12.  The primary platform FISD will use during Summer School is Edgenuity.  Students taking courses for credit recovery MUST pick up their login information and take a pre-assessment at Liberty High School or Reedy High School on Tuesday, June 11 or Wednesday, June 12 between the hours of 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. or 5 - 8 p.m.

    Students who are taking classes for advancement will receive their login information emailed to them by Tuesday, June 11.

  • Summer School Sessions
    June 11 - First day of summer school
    July 1-4 - Summer school closed
    July 18 - Last day of summer school
  • Computer Lab Dates
    Tuesday, June 11 – Thursday, June 27 (Tu–Th ONLY)
    Monday, July 8 – Thursday, July 18 (M–Th ONLY)
  • Computer Lab Times
    9  a.m. – 12 p.m.
    5-8 p.m.

    Final Exam Dates
    July 22-23
    * Finals may be taken as soon as a course is completed, and there is no requirement to wait until July 22 or 23; however all tests must be taken on a summer school campus. July 22 and 23 are for finals only. There will be no instruction on these days.
  • Middle School Cost: $200 per course
    High School Cost: $225 per semester course
    PSAT, SAT, ACT, TSI Prep Courses: $50 per course

    Financial assistance is available for those taking courses for remediation or credit recovery who qualify for free or reduced lunch. No Refunds will be issued after June 6, 3 p.m.
  • Registration will be available online for current Frisco ISD students beginning Monday, May 13, 2019 at 8 a.m. and closes Thursday, June 6, 2018 at 3 p.m.
    High School and Middle School Student Registration:
    If you need assistance with summer school enrollment, in-person registration will also be available at Liberty High School on Wednesday, June 5, 2019 from 8-11 a.m. for current FISD students and 12-3 p.m. for non-current FISD students. Only credit card and cash payments will be accepted during in person registration. 

    Out-of-District Students will register in person at Liberty High School on Wednesday, June 5.  Please click on the link below which applies to your student.  The information on these two links must be completed by Monday, June 3 at 3 p.m. in order to be able to register.

  • Transportation will not be provided. However, FISD Secondary School Summer School is providing sessions at the beginning and end of the day to accommodate parents with specific transportation needs.
