Frisco ISD utilizes several methods to communicate current news and information to parents, students, community members and relocating families.

School Messenger

The School Messenger platform is used to communicate with the parents and guardians of current Frisco ISD students via email, phone and text. Messages are sent to the email address(es) and phone number(s) utilized during the student registration process, but parents must opt in to receive the text messages by texting “Y” or “Yes” to 67587. If you are not receiving these alerts, please contact the data clerk at your child’s campus to ensure the school has the correct email address or phone number on file.

Email Communications

The District also has several external eNewsletters that are distributed via email to parents, employees, community members or anyone who is interested in learning more about Frisco ISD. It’s free to sign up! These distribution lists are separate from email communications parents may receive from their child’s school or teacher via School Messenger.

Text Messaging

Frisco ISD parents and guardians are encouraged to subscribe to text message alerts from the campus and District. FISD utilizes the School Messenger text messaging service on a limited basis for a variety of timely communications including school closures/delays. Not sure if you are signed up? Opt in by texting “Y” or “Yes” to 67587 to ensure you receive the text messages.

Frisco ISD schools, teachers and coaches also use the Remind text messaging service for secure, two-way communication via text message. This service enables educators to message students and/or parents (or vice versa) while keeping personal phone numbers private.

Frisco ISD publishes podcast episodes on Spotify, Apple Podcasts and Google Podcasts. Episodes feature discussions on topics of interest to Frisco ISD parents, students, staff and community members.
