UNT Dual Credit: North Texas Now!

Frisco ISD has partnered with the University of North Texas to create a unique dual credit opportunity for students. The UNT North Texas Now! program involves students taking a half-day of dual credit classes at the UNT campus in Frisco and then spending the remainder of the day at the home campus. The program is a collaborative, 2-year, interdisciplinary, project-based learning experience designed to allow students to see the relevance of course content as they apply it to solve real-world problems.  Students can only begin the program in at the start at their Junior year. 


Students admitted into the UNT North Texas Now! Program will:

  • Learn in a collaborative environment with renowned faculty

  • Discover the power of interactive, team-based problem solving

  • Experience an interdisciplinary approach to both teaching and learning

  • Study coursework centered around real-world problems

  • Get a head start on your college degree

  • Develop skills that employers have identified as most desirable: project management, collaborative thinking, data analysis, communication, creativity, decision-making and leadership.


Students will:

  • Earn dual credit from a Tier 1 Public Research University

  • Complete the Texas Core Curriculum which is required by Texas public universities while in high school

  • Gain transferable credit toward bachelor degrees

  • Discounted university tuition

  • Program offered at UNT Frisco Campus at Hall Park
