New Hires
Congratulations on your new job with the Frisco Independent School District. The first few days after joining a new school district can be intimidating and challenging. There will be online forms to fill out, new people to meet and lots of information to digest. We want your introduction to the district to be a great experience.
There are several steps in the new hire process, which will vary according to the position you have been hired for. Upon being recommended for hire, an assigned HR Specialist will help you throughout the new hire process. You will also receive onboarding notification emails to your personal email. If you don't see emails from workflow@friscoisd.org in your inbox, please check your spam or junk folders. Please reach out to your assigned HR specialist with any additional questions.
New Employee Onboarding Process
Step 1: Complete the FastPass
Once your hiring paperwork has been submitted by your supervisor to Human Resources, you will receive an email to your personal email account with information to start your onboarding process. Please click on the Fast Pass or Background Check link in the email to begin.
Step 2: Access Your Frisco ISD Email Account for Online Documents
Thoroughly read through any onboarding instructions sent to your personal email address from workflow@friscoisd.org. At this point, you will also receive an email with your FISD network credentials. Once you receive your FISD credentials, check your FISD email periodically for additional onboarding notifications.
Step 3: Fingerprint Appointment/Background Check
This step can take 2-5 days to complete once fingerprints are processed.The professional, paraprofessional, and fine arts specialist new hires are fingerprinted through the Texas Education Agency. Auxiliary new hires will be contacted by HR to schedule a fingerprint appointment.
Step 4: Badge Photo
Using the link sent to you by your assigned HR specialist, submit a photo to be used for your employee badge.
Step 5: Human Resources Appointment
Schedule an appointment with your assigned HR specialist to bring the following documents into Human Resources:

Social Security Card (for payroll purposes)

Driver's License (for payroll purposes)
-
Official College Transcripts (professional positions)
-
Service Records from previous districts, if applicable

Form I-9 and work authorization documents – List of Acceptable Documents
Additional documents may be needed depending on the position. Your assigned HR specialist will provide additional information on what may be needed. Do not report to work unless you have been cleared by your HR specialist.
Step 6: Submit Survey
Submit the survey to complete the onboarding process. Failure to complete the survey may result in delays in the onboarding process.
Additional Information for Paraprofessional (Teacher Aide)/Fine Arts Specialist Positions
You will receive an additional onboarding notification email regarding your aide certification. Create your TEAL account, apply and pay for your aide certificate, and schedule your fingerprint appointment (if prompted). If you have a valid aide or teaching certificate, you do not have to apply again. Also, please ensure your application/resume is current with all applicable experience, certifications, unofficial college transcripts (minimum of 48 hours), or a photo of your college/university diploma(s). If you do not have a minimum of 48 hours of college credit hours, you will be issued an assessment to qualify you for your aide certificate upon passing
