Pool Rules

  1. No food or drinks are allowed on the pool deck and bleachers. Glass containers of any sort and chewing gum are not permitted anywhere within the natatorium.

  2. Check in with the Control Room Office staff before swimming.

  3. Wristbands must be worn during open swim hours.

  4. Running, rough play, or excessive noise is forbidden.

  5. Instructions from the lifeguards must be obeyed at all times.

  6. Patrons must be dry before entering the lobby area.

  7. Swimmers must wear appropriate swimming attire. No cut-offs.

  8. No diving in shallow water.

  9. Only 1 person at a time is allowed on the diving apparatus (steps and board).

  10. Only one bounce per individual is permitted on the diving board.

  11. Shower before entering swimming pool.

  12. Coaches, swimming instructors, swimmers, meet officials, timers, and staff members are allowed on deck. Spectators must remain in the bleacher seating area.

  13. Any person having an infectious or communicable disease is prohibited from using the pool.

  14. Persons having open blisters, sores, or rashes are prohibited from using the pool.

  15. Children who are not toilet trained are required to wear swim diapers.

  16. No one under the age of 12 years is allowed in the facility without adult supervision. Children age 6 and under must have an adult with them in the water at all times (One adult for every 3 kids six years of age and under).

  17. Swimmers may be given a swimming assessment if their level of proficiency and safety is in doubt.

  18. Swimmers must stay off the lane ropes.

  19. Swimming under the bulkheads is prohibited.

  20. Starting blocks will only be used under the supervision of coaches.

  21. Only authorized personnel are permitted access to the filter, circulation, and chemical areas.

  22. No floatation devices allowed in the water except US Coast Guard approved life-vests.

  23. Insubordination and disrespect to the natatorium staff will result in removal from the facility.

  24. A minimum height of 48” is required for any patron who wishes to use the 3 – Meter springboard and this will be strictly enforced.

  25. No animals allowed inside the facility.

Diving Board Rules

  1. One person on the board at a time.

  2. One bounce per person.

  3. Moving the fulcrum on the boards will not be allowed. The fulcrum must remain in the forward position.

  4. Jump straight off the board. Jumping or diving from the side of the board is prohibited.

  5. Diving off the board from a handstand position will not be allowed.

  6. No gainers (reverse dive) or anything backwards off the board.

  7. No diving with goggles or lifejackets.

  8. At the discretion of the lifeguard a swim test may be given before a participant is allowed to use the boards.

  9. No hanging off the board.

  10. Swimmers must be 48” (4’) in height before using the 3 meter board.

  11. After diving, move quickly out of the way of the next diver.

  12. Wait until the previous diver has cleared the area below the board and has reached the ladder.

  13. Exit the pool using the ladder, not the bulkhead.

  14. Obey all instructions from the lifeguard when using the diving board.

  15. Any person having an infectious or communicable disease is prohibited from using the pool.

  16. Persons having open blisters, sores, or rashes are prohibited from using the pool.

  17. Swimming under the bulkheads is prohibited.

Rule violations may lead to removal from the facility or pool area.
