This program is optional to students in Frisco ISD and the fee is to offset the cost associated with administering the program.

A student must be enrolled in his/her supervised activity for 5 days a week. The student must participate a minimum of four (4) days during the week (Monday through Friday) plus one (1) additional day that may fall on either the weekend or during the week for a total of five (5) days per week.

The number of hours must add up to 10 or 15 hours depending upon the requested category. The number of hours must be spread over 5 days a week. The student must participate a minimum of four (4) days during the week (Monday through Friday) plus one (1) additional day that may fall on either the weekend or during the week for a total of five (5) days per week.

No, the program is only open to students in grades 6-12.

Even though a student might meet the sport and time requirement to participate in the Off Campus PE program, the campus will need to determine if they can create a schedule to accommodate the Off Campus PE request.

After the application is approved by the Special Projects Coordinator, the counselor at the student's home campus will be notified and at that time change his/her schedule, providing they can create a schedule to accommodate the request, to reflect off campus PE.

No, unless it is ice hockey where there are normally two coaches (ice training and fitness coaches); however, only one instructor is responsible for the grade and should be giving workout information to the fitness coach. Again, one coach is directly responsible for that student to make sure they are complying with the number of hours required in the Off-Campus Physical Education program.

All absences due to OCPE competitions will be considered “Unexcused” for attendance purposes. OCPE related absences must be documented with a parent note and supporting documentation (i.e. an event program with the student’s name) received within 3 days of the absence. Students must still remain in compliance with the 90% attendance rule.

In order for the student’s schedule to be correct when picked up before school starts, the application and payment should be received by the Special Projects Coordinator by June 27th. Applications will not be processed without payment.
