Frisco ISD has made available after school programs in our elementary schools for more than two decades. The YMCA and academic service providers such as AlphaBest have contracted with the District to provide a combination that many families have relied upon on our elementary campuses for after hours licensed child care.

YMCA and AlphaBest are currently available as independent contractor services provided by the District for after-school childcare K-5 until 6:30 PM daily on all elementary campuses.

Playground Use on AlphaBEST and YMCA Campuses

Please be aware that the playgrounds at all Frisco ISD elementary campuses are dedicated to the exclusive use of our two licensed child care providers (AlphaBEST and YMCA) until 6:30PM each school day and at various campuses during school holiday programming (7:00AM - 6:30PM).

This is a license mandate by the Texas Department of Family Protective Services (TDFPS) that children in child care not be co-mingled with others not participating in child care.

If you have questions, please contact Sally Turner, Special Projects Coordinator, at 469.633.6971.

In addition, there are several independent programs/groups that meet and provide enrichment activities for children after hours in our schools. The programs are not sponsored by the District and, therefore, not all programs are offered at all schools. Please contact your school or visit the community folder to find out what independent programs/groups meet at your school.
