Take the calendar survey

As work begins on the 2027-28 instructional calendar, Frisco ISD is first soliciting stakeholder feedback to guide the District’s calendar committee.

The 2027-28 Instructional Calendar Survey is open Sept. 17-Oct. 2.

Staff, students, parents and community members will have the opportunity to weigh in on several calendar considerations, including:

  • The first and last days of school

  • The end of the first semester

  • Breaks and holidays

After the survey closes and results are shared with the committee, members will put together a 2027-28 calendar recommendation that not only takes community feedback into account, but also state requirements for instructional minutes and neighboring districts’ breaks.

Their recommendation will be presented to the Board of Trustees for discussion and approval this fall, along with a presentation on the survey results.

District surveys

Frisco ISD regularly surveys the community on matters related to District operations and planning. The calendar survey provides yet another opportunity to share what matters most to the community when it comes to the academic year.
