Students are taking their agriculture training out of the classroom and into real-world scenarios at FFA competitions.
Thirteen Frisco ISD FFA teams competed last month in state Career Development Events after top finishes at region and area, where students put their classroom learning to the test in practical, real-world applications.
Several Frisco ISD FFA chapters finished first at Area V and District IV, with dozens of students qualifying for the next round. In FFA, schools of all sizes compete against one another, which means 1A schools compete against 6A, and everything in between.
CDEs build on what is learned in agricultural classes and encourage students to put their knowledge into practice. These events are designed to help a student prepare for a career in agriculture by testing and challenging their technical, leadership, interpersonal and teamwork skills, as well as their knowledge of the subject matter.
Frisco ISD’s FFA students have achieved remarkable success through their commitment and hard work. In 2024-25, they collected a number of accomplishments at the Texas FFA competition, Collin County Junior Livestock Show and other spring contests.
Congratulations to the following students and teams that placed in the top 20 of their category and those who competed at state!
