In K-9 Connect, students were given 5 rounds of “mystery” writing challenges. Students blindly retrieved random, miniature items from a bag and had to include those items in their own writing somehow alongside other surprise elements!
7th grade Texas History students came to the library to learn all about the Spanish missions in Texas.
Staff, students, parents and community members selected to serve on District committees for the 2026-27 school year were notified this week following approval by the Board of Trustees at its regular September meeting. Each committee is part of the larger District Advisory Council, which provides feedback to the Board on District initiatives, goals, programs and compliance-related matters. The District is grateful for everyone who volunteered their time and interest to serve.
Calendar Committee: As work begins on the 2027-28 instructional calendar, Frisco ISD is first soliciting stakeholder feedback to guide the District’s calendar committee. The 2027-28 Instructional Calendar Survey is open Sept. 17-Oct. 2. Access the survey.
Bond Planning Committee: FISD is exploring a possible spring 2027 bond, starting with formation of a Bond Planning Committee. Applications are open through Friday, Sept. 25. Apply online.

Our 6th grade World Cultures students are working hard to put the finishing touches on their culture projects! After learning all about the many elements of culture, students got to explore what makes their own families and traditions unique. They’ve enjoyed getting creative and sharing their family culture while celebrating what makes each of us special!

It's the WHEEL-OF-FORMULAS!! 8th graders at Wilkinson Middle School are learning about identifying the number of atoms in different chemical formulas in their Science classes this week! Great job, Bulldogs!
In 7th grade ILA, students had to "unlock" the unknown unit topic by organizing symbols into categories. After cracking the code, they are now ready to dig into how different generations can impact them and teach life lessons!
6th grade students have been busy building their own classroom communities by initiating treatment agreements. A gallery walk collected their thinking on what they want it to look, feel, and sound like!
