🎉 Red Ribbon Storybook Character Parade Reminder & Weather Preparedness

Please join us for our Red Ribbon Storybook Character Parade this Friday, October 30!

🌦️ Weather & Pre-Registration: We are keeping an eye on the weather. Our plan is to hold the parade outside as usual, but we will move indoors if it rains.

To help expedite check-in if we need to move inside, we ask that parents pre-register using this sign-up document by 6:00 a.m. on Friday (10/30). Parents who do not pre-register will need to check in at the front office, which may delay entry to the parade.

👟 Costume Reminder: Please ensure your student wears shoes appropriate for recess and/or PE. Scary masks, weapons, and costumes that fully cover a child's face are not permitted.

Thank you for your flexibility and support! We look forward to celebrating with you!

Over 4,500 Frisco ISD elementary students signed up for the recent 21-Day Snacking Challenge, part of the Kids Teaching Kids program created by Medical City Healthcare. As part of Kids Teaching Kids, high school students use what they’re learning in the classroom to create healthy recipes, educational videos and wellness resources to teach younger students about nutrition and healthy lifestyles. For the snacking challenge, families are surveyed about their child’s snacking habits both before and after the 21-day period, with results provided to the District. A special thank you to the elementary PE teachers who bring this program to life at their schools!

The District is grateful for everyone who volunteered their time and interest to serve.

  • Calendar Committee: As work begins on the 2027-28 instructional calendar, Frisco ISD is first soliciting stakeholder feedback to guide the District’s calendar committee. The 2027-28 Instructional Calendar Survey is open Sept. 17-Oct. 2. Access the survey.

  • Bond Planning Committee: FISD is exploring a possible spring 2027 bond, starting with formation of a Bond Planning Committee. Applications are open through Friday, Sept. 25. Apply online.
