Our 8th grade scientists are diving into Argument-Driven Inquiry (ADI) as they investigate the Law of Conservation of Mass! Students are using evidence, defending their claims, and engaging in scientific argumentation to strengthen their understanding.

It’s more than finding the right answer—it’s about being able to explain the science, support it with evidence, and defend your thinking! 💡⚖️

♻️🏀 Minute to Win It: Recycling Edition! 🏀♻️ Today, our Green Team hosted our first Minute to Win It Challenge of the year, putting an eco-friendly spin on a favorite with Recycling Trashketball! 🌎💙 Our Seahawks brought the energy, teamwork, and friendly competition as they put their recycling skills to the test! What a fun way to build community while reminding everyone that taking care of our campus and our planet is something we can all be a part of. 💡 Who’s up next? Encourage your student organization or club to step up and host next week’s Minute to Win It Challenge! We can’t wait to see which group takes over and what creative challenge they bring to the Nest!

🧪🔬 Science Lab Time🧫🔭 Our 7th grade scientists were investigating factors that affect the rate of dissolution, while our 8th graders put their thinking to the test by determining which model best demonstrates the conservation of mass in a chemical reaction.
