Frisco ISD is partnering with Collin College to launch the new Frisco Collegiate Academy at Memorial High School, providing yet another pathway connecting students to their future.

The Frisco Collegiate Academy is a rigorous, four-year dual credit program designed to offer students the opportunity to earn a high school diploma and an Associate of Science degree at the same time.

The program launches in the 2027-28 school year, and the application period runs Nov. 11-Dec. 11.

“The Collegiate Academy gives students the best of both worlds — a head start on college and the full high school experience,” said Dr. Wes Cunningham, assistant deputy superintendent. “Frisco ISD already has a great partnership with Collin College, but most students don’t start taking their dual credit courses until later in high school. This gives them the chance to get started right away, as freshmen.”

Students interested in the Frisco Collegiate Academy should be prepared for greater independence, responsibility and the expectations that come with taking college courses.

Any incoming ninth grader can enroll in the academy, regardless of their attendance zone, but they must attend Memorial — a process similar to enrolling in other Programs of Choice at Frisco High, Lebanon Trail High and Bright Academy.

As part of the Warrior community, Collegiate Academy students can also participate in athletics, fine arts, clubs, organizations, campus events and other high school opportunities while pursuing their college coursework.
