Students reading together

About Book Buddies

Book Buddies is a program that takes place twice each month throughout our school. During these sessions, students from upper and lower grade levels are paired together to share the joy of reading. The program provides younger students with opportunities to strengthen their reading fluency and confidence while giving older students valuable leadership and mentoring experiences. Through meaningful interactions and shared reading time, Book Buddies fosters a love of literacy, builds relationships across grade levels, and encourages a strong sense of community and engagement among students.

About Safety Patrol

Safety Patrol is a leadership program for our fifth-grade students that takes place each morning during student drop-off. As members of the Safety Patrol, students help welcome their peers by assisting with car arrival procedures, opening vehicle doors, greeting students and families, and promoting safe arrival practices. Through this program, students develop leadership, responsibility, and service skills while learning the importance of safety awareness and following established safety procedures. Safety Patrol members play an important role in creating a welcoming and secure environment for all students as they begin their school day.

About Fun Run

The Fun Run is our largest fundraiser of the year and a favorite tradition for students and families alike. Funds raised through this event support enriching student programs, High Touch High Tech classroom experiences, teacher grants, class parties, and many other activities that enhance our students’ educational experience. During each grade level’s Fun Run session, students run laps around the field and earn a tally for every lap completed. When they are not running, students rotate to a fun inflatable obstacle course where they can race, play, and celebrate their efforts with classmates. The Fun Run is an exciting day that promotes school spirit, physical activity, and community support while raising funds that directly benefit our students and teachers.
