An impressive 66 Frisco ISD students have been named National Merit Scholars this year ā the prestigious final recognition for a standout group of 2026 graduates who began their journey last fall, when the District led the state in National Merit Semifinalists.
In the spring, 27 Frisco ISD students were awarded National Merit $2,500 or corporate-sponsored scholarships. This summer, 39 more Frisco ISD students were named National Merit college-sponsored scholarship winners. The college-sponsored awards provide between $500 and $2,000 annually for up to four years of undergraduate study at the institution the student will attend this fall.
This yearās National Merit Scholarship Program began in October 2024 when juniors took the Preliminary SAT (PSAT) as an initial screen for this honor. The PSAT is offered each fall to all 10th and 11th grade Frisco ISD students at no cost to them during the school day.
Below are the college-sponsored merit scholarship winners, along with their intended fields of study and universities as reported to the College Board. Congratulations!
