Jacque Ballent, marketing and special projects facilitator for Frisco ISD Communications, has won a national award for her work to expand student access to the District.
Jacque has received the 2026 SchoolCEO Excellence in Marketing Award, recognizing her contributions to help launch, sustain and grow Access Frisco, Frisco Flex and tuition-based pre-K — three programs that have been key in the District’s long-term sustainability plan.
The SchoolCEO Excellence in Marketing Award honors school district leaders who demonstrate innovative, effective approaches to communicating their district’s value and engaging families and communities.
“Marketing in education isn’t just about the promotion of a school or district. It’s about telling the stories that showcase the power of public education,” said Nicole Lyons, Chief Communications Officer. “In a time where families have access to more school choice, it’s important to prioritize increasing the awareness of all our schools have to offer. I am proud to see Jacque recognized for her hard work and the positive impact she’s made.”
Jacque joined Frisco ISD in July 2024, bringing with her seven years’ experience in school communications and marketing, as well as a passion for combining research, data and audience insights with clear, compelling storytelling.
In her role as marketing and special projects facilitator, Jacque has led efforts to reach families who may not have previously considered Frisco ISD, while also highlighting the many opportunities available to students already in the District.
The results speak for themselves: Between Access Frisco, Frisco Flex and tuition-based pre-K, Frisco ISD has enrolled over 1,500 students it would not otherwise have.
“I am incredibly honored by this recognition. I truly love the work I get to do. I am passionate about telling the story of public education and finding creative ways to connect families with opportunities for their children,” Jacque said. “I’m especially grateful to work alongside an incredible team in Frisco ISD. This work is never done alone, and I’m fortunate to be surrounded by people who believe in big ideas and help bring them to life.”
The 2026 SchoolCEO Excellence in Marketing Award was announced this week, with the winner selected from a pool of four national finalists. Each of these finalists will be featured in the fall 2026 issue of SchoolCEO.
Congratulations, Jacque!
