Frisco ISD high school artists recently participated in the Visual Art Scholastic Event, with 68 pieces advancing to state.

Regional VASE, the state-qualifying round, drew thousands of entries from across North Texas, including 14 school districts. FISD had 671 entries competing, and 630 received the highest rating of 4. FISD’s 68 state-qualifying pieces represent 45% of the total moving on to state from the regional competition. VASE, sponsored by the Texas Art Education Association, recognizes outstanding high school artwork.
“The exceptional work created by these students reflects not only their talent and dedication, but also the impact of teachers who are deeply committed to their success,” said Cade Butler, fine arts coordinator. “This level of achievement speaks to a districtwide commitment to excellence in art education, where students are continually supported and challenged by dedicated educators from kindergarten through 12th grade.”
