With marching band season all wrapped up, Frisco ISD celebrates another exceptional year of performances, competitions and school spirit.
Thousands of FISD high schoolers practiced hundreds of hours this season, spreading out across the state to compete. Before dawn and after dark, these dedicated bands could be heard in neighborhoods near all 12 high schools — a fall tradition as familiar as Friday night football.
And at their back: An army of directors spending countless hours to teach students the skills they need to succeed; parent volunteers moving equipment, fixing uniforms and anything else that needed to be done; school and District leaders supporting them — and a Frisco ISD community cheering their hearts out every step of the way.
“Our students continue to impress with their hard work, musical excellence and commitment to one another,” said Chris Cansler, assistant director of fine arts. “This season’s success is a testament to the directors who guide them and the community that supports them, and it highlights the high standard of achievement our bands set for themselves. Their performances inspired us all.”
