Artists from elementary through high school are making a name for themselves and the exceptional fine arts education available in Frisco ISD. The success of middle school artists was especially clear at the recent Junior VASE assessment.

FISD middle school artists joined other students from across Region 10 in the regional Junior Visual Art Scholastic Event. As part of the evaluation, students were asked to write essay-style answers to a series of questions about their original artwork and be interviewed by a judge.

Frisco ISD submitted 425 entries to this year’s Junior VASE, with an impressive 389 earning the highest rating of 4. Forty-four of those top-rated pieces were awarded Platinum medals, as well.
