Congratulations to Frisco ISD agriculture students Reese and Griffin Dodson on a very accomplished summer break! Griffin and Reese, both members of the FISD Heifer Show Team, competed at the Texas Junior Simmental Simbrah Association State Futurity in Bryan, with Reese placing second in Cattle Skillathon and seventh overall Junior, and Griffin placing second in Public Speaking and seventh overall Intermediate. At July’s American Junior Simmental National competition in Nebraska, Reese's heifer Daisy earned honors as the third overall Bred and Owned Simbrah Heifer. Also last month, Griffin was elected to the Texas Junior Simmental Simbrah Association Executive Board and will serve as the 2026-27 secretary. Griffin is a Wakeland High School 10th grader, and Reese is a Griffin Middle School seventh grader. Way to represent FISD, Reese and Griffin!

We are so excited to see all our Wolverines tomorrow! One quick reminder on where to drop off and pick up!

Welcome to the 20th year of Wakeland High School!! We tried to highlight the 20th Anniversary with some of this years offerings.
Attached you will find the flyer (and link below) for the official WHS Spirit Store. Please feel free to browse and get you or your student some new gear for this school year.
Please note, the site offers an approximate return date on items, and once the shirts have been delivered to WHS you will receive an email to pick up your new items. Spirit Wear will be available for pickup in The Cave (E102) and should be collected by students only.
The pricing is low on purpose, we want to turn this town orange and blue as WHS enters 6A for UIL activities.
Thanks for your support, and have a wonderful school year.

In partnership with the Frisco Police Department and with student safety at the forefront, the District's Student Code of Conduct has been updated to align with the City's e-scooter policy.

WHS Drop Off and Pick Up Procedures. Students can be dropped off and picked up in the areas marked in yellow on the attached maps. If you drop your student off on Wakeland Drive (main road marked by the stoplight on Legacy), you should drop them off at the stop sign directly in front of the building and then make a U turn in the front of the main building entrance. Do not drop them off in the areas marked in Red. The loop on the South side of the building adjacent to Wolverine Way is the arrival and departure point for student buses and is not available for student pickup or dropoff. When using the back parking lot for after school pick up, parents should use the lane closest to the Tennis courts. Once that lane is filled, you should line up down the next available lane as indicated in the photo below. Parents who choose to pick up their students in the front of the school in the afternoon should use the “yellow” parking spaces and wait for their student to come to them.

Five Frisco ISD students have completed membership in Education in Action’s 2025-26 Lone Star Leadership Academy Alumni Council. After attending a summer Lone Star Leadership Academy, these students were invited to join the Alumni Council to continue developing their leadership skills throughout the school year. In addition to completing leadership skill-building lessons, each student identified a need within his or her school or community and designed and led a service project involving at least two other participants. Learn more about Frisco ISD students’ projects. Congrats to the following students:
