The Standing Ovation Award recognizes non-teaching staff whose work makes a meaningful difference for their campuses, teams, and colleagues. Congratulations to Frisco ISD’s summer recipients: Faleasha Goden, cook at Hunt Middle School, and Jennifer Penny, assistant principal at Hunt Middle School at the time of the nomination.

When a colleague experienced a medical emergency at Hunt, Faleasha and Jennifer didn’t wait. Faleasha called for emergency assistance right away, while Jennifer stepped in without hesitation and performed CPR, providing lifesaving care at a moment when every second mattered.

Former Hunt Middle School principal Victoria Williams, who nominated both, said Faleasha showed composure, awareness and leadership in a moment of crisis. Her ability to stay steady under pressure and act swiftly made a critical difference. “Her calm demeanor and quick, decisive action ensured that help was activated right away and contributed to a life-saving response,” Victoria said.

Victoria said Jennifer demonstrated exceptional professionalism and an unwavering commitment to the safety and well-being of others. “Her quick thinking, calm demeanor, and decisive action played a vital role in saving a life,” Victoria said.

Note: The Standing Ovation Award is not typically given to principals. Jennifer Penny, now principal of Clark Middle School, is being recognized for her response in a previous role.
