Shakespeare Goes Tech
8th grade Pre AP classes read William Shakespeare’s “The Taming of the Shrew” and created a “bookmerical” in Windows Movie Maker. Students began this project by illustrating several scenes from the play. They chose numerous mediums--drawing pictures, using play dough to shape the characters, making paper dolls, and using action figures. In addition, they created backgrounds which added to the visual effects. After the pictures were loaded into Movie Maker, the students added voice-over text and music. Thanks, Mrs. Smith and Mrs. Moore for providing a creative way to teach the Great Playwrite!
