Vaughn and Shawnee Trail Staff Recognized with Award

Congratulations to Vaughn Elementary head custodian Vincente Jimenez Delgado and Shawnee Trail Elementary custodian Victoria Williams who were recently named Frisco ISD Standing Ovation Award winners!

As Standing Ovation winners, Delgado and Williams are recognized for going above and beyond their job duties to help students and staff every day.

FISD is thankful for Delgado and Williams who are renowned throughout their campus for their high standard of excellence and selfless nature. As winners, they exemplify how every staff member in the District does their part to make a difference in children’s lives. The duo will be honored at an exclusive dinner in the spring.

Cheering for Vincente Jimenez Delgado

Vicente Jimenez Delgado, Vaughn Elementary

As the head custodian of Vaughn Elementary, Delgado goes to work each day ready to problem solve and make sure the needs of students and staff are prioritized. He treats the campus as if it were his home, taking care of each space with pride and never hesitating to pause and help anyone in need. Whether he is fixing a broken bookshelf, moving furniture, carrying heavy items to and from the building or adjusting desks to fit each student, he will do whatever it takes to get the job done. This year has been particularly trying because the campus is short one custodian, but Delgado is always willing to do what it takes. He is known for having a heart of gold and periodically visiting Mexico and returning with goodies such as homemade honey for the front office. The campus feels blessed to have him on the campus each day.

Victoria Williams

Victoria Williams, Shawnee Trail Elementary

Shawnee Trail Elementary is thankful for Williams who greets everyone with a smile each morning. She is a valued member of the campus and custodial team who will go out of her way to make sure all students feel seen and valued. She even has students who will stick around after eating to help her clear tables! She has a love for all of the students and is willing to go above and beyond her job title to connect and engage with students. She has also been known to visit classrooms as a mystery reader! Whether she is rapping to Brown Bear to kindergarteners or reading to the first graders on the first day of school, the students know they can depend on her and her warm spirit. She is truly a special part of Shawnee Trail, and the school couldn't do it without her!
