Keurig Dr Pepper Among Those Donating School Supplies

The Keurig Dr Pepper team generously donated a variety of school supplies to assist FISD economically disadvantaged students across FISD. Thanks to the generosity of Keurig Dr Pepper and other businesses and community groups, more students were prepared for their first day of school. FISD is grateful for all of our partners and we look forward to additional opportunities to work together.

Businesses can contact Sharon White at to learn more about what they can do to support Frisco ISD students.

#FISDMadetoShine Trends on Twitter

This year, Frisco ISD teachers are using the #FISDMadetoShine hashtag on social media to post all the wonderful things they are doing to engage future-ready learners. At our annual convocation, the hashtag was trending at #2 on Twitter, an unexpected, but welcome surprise! Follow the hashtag to find students and staff sharing what’s happening on their campuses throughout the school year.

Jeremiah Rush

Educator Selected to Attend World Congress

The Korean War Legacy Foundation, sponsored by the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs of the Republic of Korea, selected FISD Secondary Social Studies Coordinator Jeremiah Rush to attend the World Congress of Teachers earlier this summer. The event served to honor the sacrifice of our Korean War veterans and the importance of teaching about the war and its legacy in schools. The conference engaged teachers from across the United States on the history of the war and its significant legacy.

Rush attended the Korean War Veterans Wall of Remembrance Dedication Ceremony and witnessed the unveiling of the new memorial with the families of the fallen. Rush was honored to be invited to attend these events with Korean War veterans and their families and knows it is the legacy of their sacrifice that will be preserved by educators.
