Students and staff involved in the Family Career and Community Leaders of America chapters at Centennial and Lebanon Trail high schools have had a successful competitive season. After fantastic region and state FCCLA contests, several students placed
in competition and one student was invited to the National Leadership Conference.
Notably, Lebanon Trail High School junior Eshani Dutta received several scholarship offers for placing 1st in Fashion Construction and was invited to the National Conference. Lily Idayaraj and Gentiana Kaloshi were each offered scholarships for placing
3rd in the Hospitality, Tourism and Recreation event.
In addition, Lebanon Trail High School FCCLA teacher Aneesha Jackson will be honored at the National Leadership Conference this summer with the coveted 2022 Master Adviser Award. Jackson is the first FISD FCCLA adviser to receive this national recognition
and is in her sixth year leading the program. Jackson enjoys building collaborative relationships with her colleagues as they work to develop students' skills for life and their future career plans through character building and leadership opportunities.
“It warms my heart knowing students have enhanced and developed leadership skills through FCCLA that they will use as future productive citizens after graduation - I am honored to receive this award,” Jackson said. “As an FCCLA adviser,
I work hard each day to carry out the District’s mission to make sure the needs of our wonderful students are being met and enhanced.”
Congratulations to these students who received awards in the region and state competitions and are led by advisers Michelle Fiszer and Aneesha
Jackson at Lebanon Trail and Shirah Martinez and Sheila Hooten of Centennial High School:
