Students Advance to Area All-State Choir Competition

Dec 14, 2021

Recently, students from several FISD campuses competed in the next round of Texas All-State Choir audition.

Out of more than 600 students who participated in the Area Auditions from Frisco, Little Elm, McKinney and Prosper ISDs, these students were among the 40 students chosen to move on to the next round.

The students competed for this step by singing pieces that they have been rehearsing since the summer and by sight reading during the TMEA Region 24 Pre-Area Audition.

These students have spent countless hours in practice preparing for competition, honing their voices and talent in hope of joining the Texas All-State Choir. The All-State Choir will perform at the Texas Music Educator Association Clinic and Convention in the spring.

The Area Auditions will be held in January where these choral students will compete against the top five singers in each voice part from three other regions for spots in the All-State Choir.
