This summer was busy for several Frisco ISD FFA students preparing for the annual State FFA Convention held recently in Fort Worth. Several Frisco ISD students were recognized for their accomplishments at the 93rd annual Texas FFA Convention.
Members of the state’s largest agricultural youth leadership organization spent the week attending leadership workshops, participating in events and activities, being recognized for their achievements and serving as the legislative body for the Texas FFA Association.
“Elevate,” the theme for this year’s convention, encouraged students to overcome the obstacles of the pandemic and to reach for new levels of achievement.
Notably, Memorial High School’s FFA program earned a Silver Level as part of the 2021 Golden Horizon results during the event. This award recognizes a well-rounded local FFA chapter with an inclusive, progressive, aggressive program of activities that promotes maximum participation in order to deliver the leadership component of agricultural education.
“We are so proud of the Frisco ISD FFA students,” said Lisa Curry, Career and Technical Education coordinator. “FFA allows students to apply practical classroom knowledge to real-world experiences throughout the year and their dedication to their craft is admirable.”
Congratulations to all of these students who were recognized at the State FFA Convention.
