Congratulations to the Director of Emergency Management Jon Bodie, who was recognized as a Standing Ovation Award winner by the Board of Trustees at last week’s Board meeting.
The Standing Ovation Award is given to deserving employees each month in recognition for their commitment to the District in a non-teaching role. Bodie is in a unique role and is known for his willingness to support Frisco ISD at all times.
Bodie conducts threat and hazard assessments, develops emergency preparedness plans, facilitates districtwide emergency management training and provides experienced incident management during emergencies affecting the District.
Throughout the COVID-19 outbreak, Bodie has supported numerous departments to ensure that cohesive, well-thought out plans were put into place for several district wide pandemic-related initiatives. He also played a pivotal role in Frisco ISD’s StormReady designation awarded by the National Weather Service in January of 2020.
Bodie goes above and beyond to support both campus staff and students to ensure everyone is safe and secure. The District is thankful for his service.
