PHMS Students Named National Finalist in eCybermission Challenge
Pioneer Heritage Middle School eighth graders Iishaan Inabathini, Ratik Kasarla, Abhiram Nandiraju and Sreeja Surisetti make up the Academic Altruist team that placed first in Texas and first in the South Central Region in the 2020-21 eCybermission Challenge. eCybermission is a web-based STEM research competition where teams of students identify and solve community-based problems. Once a team chooses its mission and identifies what problem it would like to address, teams conduct research, write a hypothesis and conduct experiments. Each team submits a comprehensive analysis of their project for scoring, which includes team collaboration, engineering design and community benefit. In total, the team won more than $15,000. The team will compete in the National Final in June. Best of luck!
