Frisco Inclusion Committee Features Staff Member
Congratulations to Managing Director of Human Resources Charis Hunt who was highlighted on the Frisco Inclusion Committee Facebook page as part of the Black History Month. The committee featured African American residents who serve in and inspire our community. Hunt was previously the executive director of elementary college and career readiness in Richardson ISD. Hunt began her career in education in 1999 as an elementary teacher and also served as an assistant principal and principal in Richardson ISD. Her bachelor’s degree is from Grambling State University and her master’s degree is from The University of Texas at Dallas.
Student Wins Aspirations in Computing Award
Congratulations to Independence High School junior Shreeya Garapaty who is the recipient of the 2020 National Center for Women & Information Technology Award for Aspirations in Computing. She was recognized for her academic excellence, leadership and future goals for women in computing and technology. She will be honored in a virtual ceremony in April. Way to go!
Centennial Teacher Honored by Texas Thespians
Centennial High School theatre teacher Darius Moore has been recognized by Texas Thespians as the Teacher of the Month. Senior Abigail Robinson explained that Moore “has made extreme efforts to form a relationship and get to know every single one of his students on a deeper level.” All students can walk into the Centennial theatre department and be accepted, respected and guided along the path of greatness by him. Congratulations on this recognition!
