District Volleyball Players Honored
Congratulations to the Frisco ISD volleyball players who were selected to the All-District 9-5A team after a season in which Reedy and Lebanon Trail each advanced to the Region 2 quarterfinals. Lebanon Trail senior middle blocker Tyrah Ariail was selected as the District 9-5A MVP. The other honorees and All-District selections can be found here.
Student Wins Aspirations in Computing Award
Congratulations to Centennial High School senior Trisha Agrawal who is the recipient of the 2020 National Center for Women & Information Technology Award for Aspirations in Computing. She was recognized for her academic excellence, leadership and future goals for women in computing and technology. Way to go!
High School Students Win Speech Competition
Congratulations to Liberty High School freshman Anmol Dubey and Memorial High School junior Harbani Kohli who were named winners and received $250 college scholarships at the American Legion Post 178 Oratorical Scholarship Contest. The two orators will now compete at the district contest in Royse City in January against other contest winners from the 4th District Best of luck!
Teacher Selected for Alumni Board
Lebanon Trail High School media teacher Eva D. Coleman was recently appointed to the Sam Houston State University Alumni Association Board of Directors. Coleman graduated from SHSU in 1994 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Radio-Television-Film. She is a proud Lifetime Member of the SHSU Alumni Association. The SHSU Motto is "The measure of a Life is its Service."
Teacher Presents at giftED20 Conference
Congratulations to Pink Elementary School teacher Misty Lewin who presented at the giftED20 Conference on the topic of inspiring students by rallying community partners to help make classroom learning meaningful, purposeful and captivating. She shared resources to bring engaging, inspiring professionals to the classroom or Zoom room. Keep up the great work!
Memorial Student Selected for Thespian Festival
Congratulations to Memorial High School senior Paola Rodriguez-Torregrosa who was selected to perform in the 2020 Virtual Texas Thespians State Festival. Paola was selected from thousands of students for her talent in Musical Theater Dance.
