FISD Cross Country Runners Finish in Top 10 at State

Congratulations to Frisco ISD’s top finishers at the UIL State Cross Country Meet, which was held during the fall break. Three Frisco ISD runners finished in the top 10 of the individual standings and two teams finished in the top 10 in the state at the meet November 23 in Round Rock.

In the 5A girls race, Reedy senior Colleen Stegmann finished fifth and Lone Star sophomore Veronica Ambrosionek finished sixth. Independence junior Brighton Mooney finished 15th and Wakeland junior Chloe Smith finished 26th, helping the Wolverines finish ninth in the girls team standings. Memorial freshman Peyton Benson finished 23rd overall.

In the 5A boys race, Wakeland junior Natnael Enright finished eighth. Reedy junior Aiden Gonzalez-Rodiles finished 24th, leading the Lions to an eighth-place finish in the boys team standings.
