All Frisco ISD graduating seniors are eligible to apply for more than 900 scholarships managed through the Frisco Education Foundation Scholarship Program. Scholarships are worth anywhere from $500 to $25,250 and students can receive more than one scholarship.
The application will be available on the FEF website, linked here, starting at 10 a.m. on Monday, November 30 and the deadline to submit will be Friday, December 18, 2020 at 4 p.m.
The Class of 2020 seniors were awarded more than 900 scholarships worth nearly $687,000. The money was sent to more than 180 universities and colleges across the country. Since 1999, FEF has awarded more than $7.9 million in college scholarships to more than 7,100 graduating seniors, thanks to the generosity of Foundation supporters and outside scholarship donors.
Scholarships are awarded on the basis of academic achievement, financial need, community involvement, volunteer efforts and other criteria designated by donors.
Students should gather information prior to starting the application, including:
Extra-Curricular Activities - List of activities involved and years spent participating
Community Service - List of organizations where students have volunteered and the hours and dates served
Work History - List of employers and length of employment
Recommendations - Secure two current senior year teachers and one person outside of school as recommendations
Financial Information - Parent income verification for tax year 2019, recent W2s, tax returns and pay stubs. This is only required for financial need scholarships.

FEF Needs You
The Frisco Education Foundation relies on financial donations to provide scholarships to FISD students. Donations impact not only in the life of a child, but the lives of all who live in our community.
While FEF's Gary Burn 5K and Fun Run raised more than $18,000 for student scholarships with nearly 850 registered attendees, it was far below typical years. Please consider donating to the Foundation by clicking here.
The District and Frisco Education Foundation are thankful to the individuals and businesses that exemplify the communal #StrongerTogether commitment to the education of students in Frisco ISD through financial donations.
