Teachers Awarded Money via DonorsChoose.org
When FISD teachers need a little extra oomph for a project or initiative for their classroom, they turn to DonorsChoose.org. Congratulations to these teachers who were awarded funds this month thanks to the help of Horace Mann.
Pink Elementary first grade teacher Autumn Wiley was awarded funds for her “lights and sound” project. She was presented a check by Horace Mann for the purchase of recording equipment so that she can take her virtual teaching to the next level. Wiley enjoys teaching her first graders who always keep her on her toes.
Liscano Elementary first grade teacher Megan Snyder was awarded funds for her “Keep Your Distance! #SocialDistancingWith6yrOlds” project. She was presented a check by Horace Mann for the purchase of lap desks, lap trays and dry erase clipboards for flexible seating in the classroom. Snyder enjoys providing her students hands-on, active, engaging projects and challenges and looks forward to all the ways they can incorporate the new tools with the variety of learning strategies in her classroom.
