Centennial Teacher Recognized by Air Force Association, Seidel Chapter - Dallas 232
Centennial High School AP physics teacher Jaime Herran has been selected at the winner of the 2020 Teacher of the Year for the Air Force Association, Seidel Chapter – Dallas 232. Herran is recognized for his exceptional ability to motivate students in STEM. The District wishes Herran the best of luck as he moves to the state competition for a chance to be the AFA-Texas Teacher of the Year.
Lebanon Trail Percussion Demo a New Piece
Seven members of LT Percussion were recently asked to record a new piece by composer Brian Nozny. Their video is now being used as the demo video on the publisher’s social media outlets and website. Congratulations to students Gabriel Anareta, Austin Probst, Arvind Subramanian, Kyne Sun, John Caleb Timpani, Vedansh Vaidhyanathan, Naimisha Vunnam and percussion Director Dr. Rob Parks for their dedication to the craft.
Frisco High School ESL Recognized by Seidlitz Education
Frisco High School ESL teachers Alma Juarez and Mauri Greener’s recent implementation and success with the Talk, Read and Write teaching routine drew the attention of Seidlitz Education. Seidlitz provides professional learning tools for teachers to help them focus on ways to help give students academic language. Food Donated to Frisco ISD Essential Workers
Frisco ISD gives thanks to the Indian American Families of Frisco organization that catered lunch from Jason’s Deli for the district-wide essential workers. IAFF expressed thanks to the Frisco ISD teachers and staff for their dedicated support in keeping kids engaged and educated throughout eLearning.
National Junior Art Honor Society Recognizes Maus Students
The Maus Middle School chapter of the National Junior Art Honor Society (NAHS) was recognized in the NAHS Spring 2020 magazine for the STEAM project that they created for students at the school who were outside the art program. Congratulations to these creative students who created a lesson plan, safety protocol and presentation for their fellow students.
Student Featured on Scratch Website
