Frisco ISD Student Artwork Selected for Youth Art Month

2019-20 YAM Student Candidate Art.Frisco ISD has selected artwork from students to be entered into 2020 Texas Art Education Association State Youth Art Month Capitol exhibit. Several talented students have been announced and their work ranges from scenery to fantastical.

Youth Art Month is in March and the finalists are announced in February. In all, 100 student artists from across Texas will have their work displayed. The artwork will be on display at the Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum with a celebration, awards and reception on March 22.

The Frisco ISD students to be considered for exhibit selection include:

  • Emmerson Forbes, Smith Elementary School, Teacher Jenny Pitts

  • Menaal Masroor, Sem Elementary School, Teacher Susanna White

  • Hailey Ecklund, Stafford Middle School, Teacher Marie Blocker

  • Madison Heydon, Griffin Middle School, Teacher Jamie Snider

  • Ashwin Yogaratnam, Memorial High School, Teacher Sarah Watkins

  • Kathleen Hopkins, Lebanon Trail High School, Teacher Kristen Summers

  • Zoe Perry, Reedy High School, Teacher Kathleen Schrantz

  • Apurva Nair, Reedy High School, Teacher Katie Gallimore
