Baylor Scott & White Offers Students Free Physicals

Apr 27, 2018

The new Baylor Scott & White Sports Performance Center at The Star is offering Frisco ISD high school students free pre-participation physicals on May 19. The physicals are available to any students who will be in high school during the 2018-19 school year, so current eighth graders are included.

Physicals are required annually for FISD students before participating in athletics, and the BS&W physicals will qualify for the 2018-19 school year. Parents can register their students to get a physical through BS&W on May 19 by visiting

In addition, students will have an opportunity to receive a Movement Efficiency Screening during their visit to the Sports Performance Center (SPC). A Movement Efficiency Screening identifies movement compensations associated with injury risk, and students will get access to a Fusionetics app that provides a self-care program to address movement compensations.

Facility tours will also be available on May 19, and information on nutrition, hydration and concussion awareness will be distributed.
