April Rotary Spotlight Students Honored

April Rotary Spotlight STUDENTS

Reedy High School students Isabelle Walsh and Ryan Blackburn were honored as Rotary Spotlight Students of the Month in April by the Frisco Rotary Club.

Walsh is the daughter of Bradley and Laura Walsh and Blackburn is the son of Scott and Therese Blackburn.

The two are both excellent orchestra students. Isabelle plays the harp and Ryan the viola. Ryan has also been involved with the Frisco Youth Orchestra and the Greater Dallas Youth Orchestra.

Both students are active in campus leadership activities such as National Honor Society and Student Council.

Isabelle is a Frisco ISD Student Ambassador, president of Student Council, orchestra historian, and Chemistry Club secretary. She is an AP Scholar and a selected candidate for Girls State. She served on the Mayor's Youth Council and is active in the Frisco ISD Health Science program. 

Ryan also served on the Mayor's Youth Council and served as an Under Secretary at the Texas Model United Nations Conference. Through Model UN he has won awards for Outstanding Delegate and Best Proposal. He was named Biology Student of the Year, and was a delegate to Boys State in 2017.

Ryan hopes to attend the University of California at Berkley and Isabelle is planning to attend Texas Christian University.
