Frisco ISD student singers, bell ringers and musicians have a very busy holiday schedule with concerts and performances throughout the community, and it all kicks off this Saturday, December 2 at Merry Main Street.
Merry Main Street is the annual City of Frisco tree lighting event that includes vendors, crafts, food trucks, Santa’s official arrival and entertainment, as well as holiday horse-drawn carriage rides and other fun events at Frisco Square.
The event will open at 4:50 p.m. and Santa will arrive at 4:55 p.m. The tree lighting is set for 6 p.m. FISD performers will be appearing on all three stages at the event throughout the evening.
The Stocking Stage is located west of the Frisco library on Church Street. Students from Boals, Anderson, Taylor, Ogle, Comstock, Curtsinger, Sparks, Christie and Sem elementary schools will be performing on that stage during the event.
The Christmas Tree stage is center stage and will include performances by students from Bright, Riddle, Spears, Nichols, Bledsoe, Ashley (bell ringers), Allen and Pink elementary schools, as well as a final performance of the evening at 8:40 by VOLT, the Lebanon Trail High School Acapella group.
The Snowflake Stage, east of Simpson Plaza, will feature an opening performance by the Frisco ISD Elementary Honor Choir at 5 p.m. followed by performances throughout the evening by elementary students from Mooneyham, Isbell, Scott, Hosp, Phillips, Robertson, Norris, Borchardt, Purefoy and Ashley elementary schools.
More great performances are scheduled through the holiday season and into January as part of the FISD winter performance season.
