Frisco ISD Board member Debbie Gillespie has earned Master Trustee status after graduating from a year-long education leadership study program sponsored by the Texas Association of School Boards (TASB).
The Leadership TASB program includes extended learning assignments and sessions featuring nationally recognized experts in the fields of leadership development and education. Since 1993, more than 700 trustees across the state have graduated from the program.
Gillespie was honored for her participation during FISD’s regular School Board meeting on August 11.
TASB is a voluntary, nonprofit association established in 1949 to serve local Texas school districts. School board members are the largest group of publicly elected officials in the state. The districts they represent serve more than 4.9 million school students.
